Arxiu Històric de la ciutat de Barcelona

The Arxiu Històric de la Ciutat de Barcelona is a research centre that is open to the entire community and located in the historic archdeacon's house, the Casa de l'Ardiaca, which houses the documentary archive from the middle of the 13th century to mid-19th century documents from Barcelona City Council.

It also has an extensive collection of private documents that have been deposited with the archive, as well as extensive collections of examples of the graphic arts, the oral history archive, a newspaper library and a library specialising in the history of Barcelona.

Additionally thecenter offers archive search room, digital and paper copies of documents from the collection, archivist to assist with any questions, guided tours for groups, temporary loan of original documents for exhibitions, dissemination activities.
